What I enjoy in Christina Murphy’s work is the diversity and attention to detail. The spaces she has created range from classical to contemporary and one can notice the designer’s tendency to experiment with a variety of styles.

Talented photographer Emily Gilbert brings out the fresh ‘personality’ and warmth of the following interiors. I quote from her online bio: “Her fascination with lines, space, and repetition coupled with her experience as a Set Dresser lead her to the art of Interior & Architectural photography.  Her interest in environments both meticulously designed and those that exist in nature is what drives her to capture the essence of each space she sets out to photograph.”

Make sure to check out her truly inspiring portfolio!

If you desire a warm, welcoming and easy combining color option for your space, brown is an excellent choice as it has an all time classic essence. Brown, much like black can be wonderfully paired with a variety of shades.

However, dark browns have a tendency to absorb light so make sure to choose lighter tones for your walls.

A gorgeous 1904 farm house renovated by Schappacher White Ltd, a N.Y. based architecture and interior design firm.

Colors in white, crème and darker shades of brown and black, combined with contemporary and vintage elements create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Natural lighting throughout the spaces is simply amazing.

I absolutely love the kitchen wall / black board. A very arty touch!

The old rocking chair is another all times classic!

What are your favorite elements?

I have a soft spot for vintage and used objects. That is why I absolutely adored this kitchen, where all modern necessities are combined with antique furniture and various old accessories.

I particularly love the car on the wall, the red smeg fridge and the vintage dishes. How about you?

Absolutely breathtaking modern spaces photographed by Andrew Tye, an interior and architectural photographer based in London.

Fresh design objects, gorgeous decoration where white and open spaces prevail and function like a canvas.
