The photos shown here are part of her Fashion album. I particularly love the dramatic poses and expressions of the model and the natural color palette.

A very interesting project by Julie Blackmon who is capturing everyday family life in a most inspiring and sincere manner. The resulting imagery is almost surreal, just like in reality!
The photographer states: “The stress, the chaos, and the need to simultaneously escape and connect are issue that I investigate in this body of work. We live in a culture where we are both “child centered” and “self-obsessed.” The struggle between living in the moment versus escaping to another reality is intense since these two opposites strive to dominate. Caught in the swirl of soccer practices, play dates, work, and trying to find our way in our “make-over” culture, we must still create the space to find ourselves. The expectations of family life have never been more at odds with each other. These issues, as well as the relationship between the domestic landscape of the past and present, are issues I have explored in these photographs. I believe there are moments that can be found throughout any given day that bring sanctuary. It is in finding these moments amidst the stress of the everyday that my life as a mother parallels my work as an artist, and where the dynamics of family life throughout time seem remarkably unchanged. As an artist and as a mother, I believe life’s most poignant moments come from the ability to fuse fantasy and reality: to see the mythic amidst the chaos.” A charming and sensitive focus on Albinos by photographer Gustavo Lacerda. Colors, expressions, everything looks poetically coordinated and inspiring!
Visit his site and view more of his creative photo projects. Elene Usdin is no doubt one of the most inspiring artists I’ve recently discovered. Her portfolio is rich in concept, technique and most importantly creativity & imagination!
It was very difficult for me to choose a theme from her projects portfolio. Her “Femmes d’ interior” series focuses on the interpretation of women’s role in society through a deconstructive and symbolical manner. As the artist notes: “In this series of pictures on “Femmes d’intérieur”, I want to play with the codes, to re-arrange them, giving a cushion or a chair or a pair of shoes the same attention as the subject. It’s my way of depersonalizing the woman, of turning her into (perhaps what she always was): the object, the woman-object. Upending things in effect poses the question: what is the social status of a woman? The reference to “great classics” of painting is a good way to illustrate how a woman is corseted by her rank and the social position of her husband or her own family. The idea of painting “in the style of”, copying the classics, is a way of making each photograph unqiue. It’s an additional way of personifying each of these women, of giving them back their difference and their originality.” A very interesting conceptual photography collection by Finnish photographer Susanna Majuri who captures mysterious water scenes where emotion and color are released and thus a further visual communication with the viewer is provoked.
Every shot looks like a frozen moment from a story, almost like film stills! A very interesting conceptual photo gallery by Ina Photography where it seems that all of her subjects are captured in unusual poses, thus experimenting a different level of interaction with the environment they find themselves into. It seems to me that stillness of the moment is what the photographer is attempting to capture. As I read in the intro of her site: “It is a world in which every word spoken speaks just to that moment, every glance given has only one meaning, each touch has no past or no future, each kiss is a kiss of immediacy”. Sensual images that travel your imagination to a different epoch, captured by photographer Tamer Yilmaz. Warm, earthy tones with a strong dose of luxury and eroticism create a captivating atmosphere. [Pictures via here] The lighting, colors and atmosphere in all of Andrew Pearce’s photo collection is utterly enchanting!
The talented photographer comes from Australia and has gained recognition at the early age of 20 with his photography & film work. “I’m continuously interweaving film and photography techniques, to hopefully create unique and engaging works, which I would like the world to see!”. Viewing the photo collection of Alyz feels like being Alice in Wonderland. Vivid, bold, fantasy themed imagery that intrigues your imagination and pleases your eyes. Click and visit her visualyz world for you have so much more to discover! Alyz notes: “I have been a music and culture journalist for 8 years, so I’ve had the chance to meet a lot of great photographers. I have also been modeling for several years, so I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of brilliant artists in this way as well. After a while, I found myself a bit frustrated, spending so much time admiring the fantastic images of others, so I finally decided to pick up a camera myself, so that I could create my own visions”. Embodiment is a Project by photographer Molly Landreth and video artist Amelia Tovey that explores the feeling of being gay in America today. A series of emotive portrait shots are captured aiming to convey reality and document sometimes hidden love stories. The project has gained international recognition and has been supported and funded by various public and private donors. Molly has received her BA in Studio Art and an MFA in photography and she lives and creates in Washington.
