Fresh & colorful, each one of Josh Ellingson’s illustrations have a story to tell! The illustrator lives and creates in San Francisco and has worked with numerous clients.

As he notes: “I’m influenced by popular culture, particularly television and movies, and I’ve also always been a fan of comic books and collectible toys. I’m enamored with science and scientific advancements and lately, astronomy has had a big impact on my work. There’s something about the scale of the cosmic level that makes my brain buzz.”

I was very excited when I discovered the work of Andrew Archer. I love the textures, color palette and sense of constant motion in his work, along with his excellent skills in illustrating bold, imaginative and original images.

I quote from the artist’s statement: “I’m greatly inspired by surrealism, juxtapositions and sublime narratives but more specifically wood block prints, edo period art, cartoons, ideograms, characterization, travel and Asia. Through my work I’ve been lucky enough to work within a range of super cool mediums including editorials, advertising, web, moving picture, storyboards and more and continue to do so.”

Joe Van Wetering explores the world of color and forms by creating visuals filled with energy. There is an inspiring balance that I appreciate in his works.

As I read in the artist’s site: “Inspired by the contrasting visions of pop culture and nature, Joe explores the continuously developing relationship between color and space, creating abstract visions of everyday life through his artwork”.

Sophie Varela is a young French artist who finds inspiration in the mysterious beauty of women. Her work is bold, colorful and I particularly enjoy the way she mixes her stylized characters with abstract backgrounds.

Beyond painting, the artist also focuses on illustration in the field of Press, Fashion and Music.
