Corezone

Corezone is the fruit of the creative collaboration between Dorota Skalska and Agnieszka Mazur! While the first envisioned the concept upon her search about whether emotions can be fulfilled via an object, the second one provided the material they should use in order to convey the message.

Here is a brief description of the project I found in their official site: corezone is a closed ceramic space, where one can place their thoughts, feelings, emotions. An attempt to fulfill emotional needs by the means of an object, a try to withhold immaterial being in a material space.”

All I can say is that this made my day! Don’t forget to check out their site for more info on the process and the designers.

Gabriel Dishaw has been creating sculptures from junk since the 1990's. All his creations are constructed from disassembled found objects like typewriters, adding machines and old computer parts. His stunning collection of Nike shoes display his brilliant attention to detail in representing forms.

The “I’m all ears” ring series by “The Golden Plague” combine cuteness, originality and functionality.

Manually sculpted on wax, these pet rings include a paper strip on which you are prompted to write your secret and then place it into the shallow inner space of the ring.

Golden Plague’s blog can be found here.

The moment I set my eyes on Star Bag’s collection it was love at first sight. Sweet, girly, oh so beautiful and vintage! Lovely colors, patterns and these flowers are so luscious and original!

The designer notes: “All our bags are one-of-a-kind or made in a limited edition due to the vintage and/ or repurposed materials we use for them. With some creativity alot of things can be saved and given a second life, for a better and greener planet.”

Don’t forget to check out Star Bag’s blog as well. They have a fantastic collection of craft inspired posts!

I adore the urban feel of Half Pint Salvage’s key racks made from recycled wood! It’s yet another perfect example of how old materials can be transformed into something totally inspiring and functional!

Here is what the crafter notes: “Scouring the dusty piles and digging through the rusty bins--rescuing items that have long ago been abandoned and giving them life once more. That's an alliterative way of saying I create useful stuff using salvaged things.”

Edgy vintage designs with an essence of the Victorian era by Bella Lili, a collection with a variety of silver pieces with a dark and romantic flavor.

As the designer notes in her online shop: “My designs are what I describe as Victorian Couture jewelry. Some are more Avant Garde and Risque. Others are more whimsical and Romantic. The common thread in all my jewelry is Victorian Elegance or Pretty with an edge.”
