Here is what the two designers (sisters) note: “Many of our materials are rescued from estate sales, flea markets and even our own Grandmother! It is important to us to try to use repurposed materials as much as we can but we also love the mix of old and new.”

If you’re a vintage lover you’ll absolutely adore Paraphernalia’s design adornments, handmade by Vanda Noronha.
Necklaces are made by various unusual and enchanting illustrations printed on cut acrylic and attached to silver-plated chains. Jacqueline Rose is the designer behind Lamixx, an independent fashion brand created from a vision for wearable, alternative and original clothing.
Inspired by vintage styles and with a natural earthy palette Jacqueline creates truly elegant pieces of high aesthetics and attention to detail and quality. London Particulars is a steampunk studio focusing on jewelry and art. The detail of their handmade pieces is simply incredible!
Here I present you some of their eye-catching designs but make sure to check out their online shop for more steampunk inspired pieces. Just the names of these fabulous hats drive me crazy! “Mini Victorian Mourning Tricorn”, “The Beaux”, “Mini Rhinestone Top Hat”, “Victorian Goth Top Hat” and so many more. Kim Brown-Dye is the name of this talented costumier and designer of Topsy Turvy who creates each piece from scratch and takes care of each tiny detail! Old german porcelain doll parts are artfully assembled with vintage glass beads and various unique pieces to form original & wearable art jewelry that definitely make a statement!
The designer of Vintage Venus notes: “I love old things. I love imperfect relics, full of history and aged beauty. I also love shiny things, mysterious and quietly enigmatic”. Brass, copper and gorgeous glass beads are the secret ingredients to Linden Gate’s vintage earrings collection. I particularly enjoy the fine detail and elegance of these pieces. Stephane Halleux is the creator of these breathtaking steampunk inspired sculptures that are crafted from a wide variety of materials. The detail is amazing and his often surreal characters are filled with personality.
As the artist mentions: “I've always liked crazy mix of science, technology, with the romance vintage machinery”. As an artist myself, I have difficulties in finding the ideal frame for my artwork. So it was more than a pleasant surprise to discover the 2Dogs Wood Working frame studio. A wood working and framing team comprised of a husband, wife plus 2 dog helpers!
All frames are handmade: chopped, painted, joined and hand detailed, ensuring the uniqueness and originality of each piece. “As owners of a custom picture framing shop we were constantly looking for unique frames to offer to our clients. We could never find anything that we really thought made the artwork snap. Pretty much the same old frames in every store. So, we decided to try to make our own. After a lot of trials and errors ( and some darn right ugly looking colors and frames ) we finally got it right. The "Colored Barnwood Style" was the first of our frame collection. After that "Style" we were pretty much addicted to creating unique handmade frames.” Louise Hedley is the talented New York based designer behind Sohomode, a fabulous collection of vintage inspired clothing. Her tea dresses are just unique for any fifties lover modern eccentric! The white dress with the 3 color stripes below amazingly resembles to a favorite dress I used to wear as a girl! |
