As Karon, the photographer notes “I am in awe of the beauty in the tiny worlds that can be captured by a photograph...my niece and I collect bits of moss and lichen from the trees to carpet the fairy house in my garden. I love the textures and blue green of this bit growing on a maple tree in our yard ~ it could be a forest on the side of a towering mountain or a wee woods on the branch of a tree...amazing!”
In the Garden Shed one can find a mesmerizing collection of nature inspired macro photography.

I am quite awestruck by the originality of Grand Ole Bestiary photo project! A very impressive photo collection accompanied by a well presented mysterious story.
I’m posting the intro of Grand Ole Bestiary’s etsy shop: “The Grand Ole Bestiary is a collection of faux-antique, anthropomorphic, mythological curios. Each one carefully recovered from ancient catacombs discovered buried deep inside the molten core of a metaphysical holy mountain. Touted as one of the most compelling discoveries of evidence that proves an enduring existence of these magnificent creatures that had long been worshiped and damned by human civilizations throughout history.” Incredibly dreamy sceneries by Sara Grein. The tones in her black and white shots are pure visual pleasure, creating an almost supernatural atmosphere. The Radio Telescope is one of my favorites. The photographer lives and creates in the United States. Brilliant landscape shots by Irene Suchocki. I adore her water inspired photographs – very whimsical and emotive. The photographer notes “I enjoy experimenting with different styles and techniques, both in-camera and in my digital darkroom. Faithfully capturing a scene is less important to me than finding that little bit of mystery or evoking a certain mood”. A fabulous collection of flower macro photography by Amelia Kay!
I particularly like the soft color palette and painting-like touch of her work. Really brings out romantic, dreamy feelings. It made me smile! The photographer lives and creates in Denver. The photographs selected are part of the collection “Keeping Lost Time”. Capturing moments in time is almost like trying to capture magic.
Jeff Friesen has stated about this project: “There was a time when we all wandered the earth like little gods. Faced with an unknown world we made it our own, imagining creatures and landscapes into being between breaths. Even our smallest thoughts were acts of creation. Days passed but we took no notice. Then, without warning, everything changed. Time, for so long immaterial, made its grip known. Seasons that seemed eternal began passing by like cars hurtling towards a distant city. The years laid sediment that hardened our thoughts. We were mortal after all. After taking care of our daughter, June, for her first three years I was incredulous that she would eventually forget the rich experiences that lit up her days. Why are we destined to lose the memories of our early life? It seems unjust that our most vivid perceptions of the world get confined to a locked room in our subconscious. Like many parents I turned to photography to keep a record of June’s lost time. The initial images were fine, but also redundant in the churn of today’s limitless photography. I wanted more than just record keeping—I wanted to make June’s thoughts, her secret world, visible.” The artist has been awarded internationally for his work. Dreamy and emotive shots by Dylan Murphy, a 22 year old talented photographer who is currently studying for his BA in photography in Illinois. As he notes “A lot of my art is filled with emotion and all of the uncertainties and absurdities of life. While some of my work could be described as fantasy or surreal; I also think there is a certain amount of reality in it. I like to use myself in a lot of my work, as it is a way of coping, learning, and expressing myself. I like to tell stories and pose questions through my images, though I don’t always know the stories or the answers myself.” Make sure to drop by his online shop and view his available signed prints!
With a specialization in advertising photography Halley Ganges captures beauty in an engaging manner. Mesmerizing visuals and an attention to textures and colors. An eye-candy collection without a doubt! Create, Love, Laugh is the artistic motto of Kimberly Creagan. Her photo shots are very emotive indeed. Experimenting with color, light and textures, the artist captures atmospheric scenes with a sweet touch of nostalgia. Inspiration is mostly derived by nature and life in general. Jan von Holleben’s photographs awaken our childish dreams and memories. In his project “Dreams of Flying” he directs his shots by setting up dreamy scenes and having children from his neighborhood pose accordingly in order to produce these magic action visuals. The artist’s work has been showcased and published throughout the world.
