" Dividing my time between assignments and playing truant by image-hunting was difficult, but in the last account it protected me from routine, and I have experienced by turns periods of anguish and moments of extraordinary happiness. Je ne regrette rien" [as quoted by the artist]
Recognized as one of the most talented artists in the field of humanist photography, Willy Ronis is known by his ability to convey waves of nostalgia for the urban community of 40’s and 50’s through his black and white images.

Interesting experimenting with light effects and glamour photo shots by Brian Lynch. The photographer lives and works in San Diego, CA. Urban tales, conceptual shots, emotive portraits are Vicky’s main photographic pursuits. Her Mask Project is one of my favs.
Dr. Orange will also play music at the Meet Market this weekend. She is a multi-talented girl! Dreamy and surrealistic photos by Rus Anson, a Fine Art Fashion photographer born in Barcelona, “who thinks that everything is possible and doesn’t like to be realistic”. Very successfully put, her artwork reflects stories of another dimension. [click on photos above to zoom]
The artist currently lives, studies and works in San Francisco. In Modelizing photo blog one can view a collection of fashion window displays in the area of Manhattan. Julia Chesky is the photographer who launched this original project and in this post you can view her glamour shots of luxurious Ralph Lauren holiday windows, 2009. Being an obsessed smoker, I decided to feature 3 super cool smoking photo shots by Sam Hessamian. Smoking is not an incentive of course. Stylish, expressive, often fashion orientated eye catching photography is the reason you should check out his portfolio.
Stavros is an Athens based creative with an obsession for lomography, a relatively new style of artistic experimental photography and unorthodox snapshots. With his much loved HOLGA always in hand, we view his urban photo adventures in the city. I am a texture maniac, I admit it. This is why I am sharing Valentine’s Project “Adayalam”. “The functional advertising and political propaganda painted on any available flat wall in Kerala (India) form the pallete for this new set of images. Adayalam takes the adornment from these often degrading surfaces to a new artistic context. Working through abstraction, the photos retain, sometimes subtle, references to location and the vibrant colour of the indiginous culture." [as quoted by the artist] Fortune Telling Almost like from another era robinkore’s photos immediately caught my eye. Nostalgic, dark but also very intense and emotive. The kind of imagery that manages to wake long forgotten memories. Burcu Kabaosmanoglu is the name of the 24 year old Turkish girl behind the lens. I’m looking forward to viewing more by her soon. Brian Knappenberger is a US based photographer. A genuine traveler. When I first saw his Arctic album I was awe struck. Clear scenic shots of a cold kingdom. Travelling through his eyes made the trick for me. Take a look to the rest of his photo albums from Kenya, Rwanda and Congo.
