"Why do I make art? Because I like keeping my hands busy, and because it just comes out uncontrollably and by now, if I don't draw for a few days my hands start to itch."
Betty Raspberry
"As usual I am collage crazy but lately I've also been enjoying painting plates and although it's not easy it's mostly satisfying when I'm not endlessly smudging."
Lianne Mellor
"My range of home wares designed to add quirk, originality and a few giggles to the everyday while not costing the earth."
Jimbob Art
"I have experimented with a range of mediums in illustration, but it was only this year after a visit to Sweden, inspired by the huge range of natural history surface design on furnishings and home wares, that I began experimenting with ceramics. I tend to create a new character every couple of weeks, and it’s exciting getting feedback for my new designs."

"I am a potter and work from my home in the Highlands of Scotland. Most of my work is thrown using red earthenware clay, decorated with subtle glazes and fired high to make it very strong. I like to draw either directly in to the clay surface or transfer drawings on to the glaze and fire them in."
Esther Coombs
"I want to mix the old treasure and narratives these items possess with the new story I layer onto them. It's also a little bit good for the world to use these discarded items of others, re-invent and renew them to fill our homes anew. I believe that special things created with care have the potential to add to your home and personal story and get swept up in your life long possessions, becoming a little bit of who we are. I'm a old romantic at heart -- can you tell?"

"All the items shown on this site are handmade in my studio in Boston. Many of these pieces on Etsy are prototypes for future collections."
Carrie Reichardt
"I have over the years built up the most extensive collection of vintage, modern and home made decals which I then apply to ceramic pieces. I love the idea of reusing and recycling and spend many hours sourcing the most beautiful old and vintage crockery."
Kristen K. Swanson
"Asian art has long been an influence in my work - my childhood home was filled with Asian furniture, tapestries, scroll paintings, and sculpture. I am further influenced by both traditional and contemporary textile patterns as well as traditional botanical motifs. I choose to limit my surface work to black and white with an occasional splash of color as I enjoy the graphic and stimulating effect. The use of a clear glaze highlights the subtle texture of the porcelain body."

"I strive to be simple. I like small things, dirty art and banjo music. Most of the time I am called Angela. I was born and bred in Los Angeles. My father and my brother are both professional artists. My mother is an expert craftsman. I am not. Having had a broken heart, broken wings, loose marbles and the such I have discovered that I am much better with a glue gun than a paint brush. I just try to be true to the idea's in my head by recycling unloved and forgotten items."
