Hauntingly inspiring, the images of talented Noa Griffel are impossible to be unnoticed. Having received her BFA in photography at the young age of 17 she continued for her master in the School of Visual Arts.
There is a dark and dreamy essence in Athena Katsoulieri’s most recent photo projects. Each image, like a word that somehow escaped from a poem. Landscapes captured from a dreamer’s point of view, with slightly distorted colors and unusual perspectives.
The email I received by Mario Pena, a self taught photographer whose images flirt with the essence of dreams, proved to be a quite refreshing and rewarding surprise. As Mario notes in his email: “My photography is about beauty, dreams, moments and love, and my vision is “Photograph for romantic people”.
“Mouches a la Mode” is a project by Pelle Bergström, one of the masters of still photography who has gained wide recognition with his sophisticated and visually powerful work. His clientele includes international luxury fashion brands such as Hérmès, Luis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs and large corporations (Nokia, Philips, IKEA etc). Just look at these images! The black background really makes the feathers colors and soft textures stand out. Such a feast for the eyes! “Mouches a la Mode” has been exhibited in Paris and Stockholm.
I was very happy to receive Joseph’s email some time ago. He communicated with me in order to give me his positive feedback on the blog and also share the work of 2 artists. Thank God he included his own link in his signature as well – I must admit that I am completely enamored of his work! Conceptual & original but most importantly expressive and emotive. Joseph Newsome is still very young yet the images he captures through his lens have an unexpected maturity.
136 photographers have been selected and featured in the EyeCandies Photo Section during this year! Conceptual, dark, emotive, surreal, urban, all images have an inspiring story to tell, a point of view. By clicking on the photos below you will be transferred to the relative post where you can find out more about the photographer and check out his official site.
