 I was deeply drawn in when I first set my eyes on Kate MacDowell’s phenomenal work! So surreal and fresh, delicate yet dark – natural yet distorted. The detail in her creations is simply amazing and the symbolic visual language used very powerful!

Old and abandoned items such as gears, wires, springs, junk yard scraps and all sort of mechanical parts & equipment are ritually collected by the artist and used to assemble imaginative and captivating kinetic sculptures. |
