Magnificent digital illustrations by talented Ryohei Hase, a Japan based young artist. Depicting dark and powerful themes, these visuals are destined to catch your eye as well as haunt your thoughts.
The artist works as a freelance illustrator and undertakes commissions in the field of publications, games and fashion. Amazing form depictions by artist James Roper who lives and creates in Manchester. I love the vividness and abstract feel of his artwork. I quote part of his eloquent statement I found in his site: “I have explored these subjects in my paintings through the structure and landscape of the body, how our bodies move through our environment and their physical relationship to architectural forms as well as the immediate folds in the fabric of our clothes. Also the fetishism of inanimate objects and the fusion of body and object or self and other which is apparent within many religious practices especially in Eastern Philosophy. By constructing abstract bodies formed from multiple elements with a variegated surface of protrusions and recesses my paintings mimic the complex bodily structures found within nature. An ordered chaos in which a bigger whole is made up of smaller interconnecting parts like the microscopic cells of the macroscopic organism.” Yuta Onoda’s artwork has a very distinct lyric quality to it. The artist comes from Japan and has been developing his personal style through experimentation with various media. A very interesting portfolio that deserves your attention! Sebastien Feraut aka Niark1 is a Parisian multiply talented guy! Graphic Design, Illustration and Fine Arts are the main fields he is interested in and his work is by now widely recognized.
Loud colors, patterns, symmetry and surreal looking characters are his thing. Take a dive into his colorful chaotic and super creative world! Stacee Kalmanovsky’s drawing and painting works are filled with almost raw, emotional power. Vivid images that draw the viewer in, forms and figures depicted via inclusion and exclusion and an essence of sexiness. The use of glitter is another interesting touch as it makes her pieces even more alive and ethereal. The artist’s statement notes: “Stacee Kalmanovsky's work is rooted in the uncanny, suggestive, and picturesque. Her urge to invent and exaggerate is tempered by a deep dedication to the medium at hand. She believes in the conceptual process itself, from gathering information and sorting through, manipulating, and qualifying the image, to the indisposable skill to achieve the end result. Like in the alchemic process, the raw matter (sulfur = visual information) is transformed, refined, and persuaded into its purest form (gold = art).” Sophie Varela is a young French artist who finds inspiration in the mysterious beauty of women. Her work is bold, colorful and I particularly enjoy the way she mixes her stylized characters with abstract backgrounds.
Beyond painting, the artist also focuses on illustration in the field of Press, Fashion and Music. Whimsical, emotional drawings and digital illustrations by Veronica Navarro, a young artist from Spain. Her artwork focuses in editorial illustration but her portfolio is rich in a wide range of personal projects as well. The human form is a subject that deeply inspires Antony Gormley who has been creating sculptures of the human body and experimenting with the notion of transformation and collective identity for the last 25 years.
The artist’s both sculptures and large scale installations have been exhibited internationally. |
