An enchanting paper sculpture collection by Helen Musselwhite who creates whimsical artwork inspired by the natural world!
As the artist states: “Each piece combines the hand cutting, folding and scoring of a wide range of papers and card that are further worked on to create patterned and textured surfaces. They are then used to build scenes in box frames which are often complex and consist of many layers. This process means that each item of work is truly individual with no two pieces the same.” Totally inspiring and original paper shoes by David Brownings a young talented illustrator and paper maniac from Bristol.
Check out his site for more cool paper creations, including his “Pop Up Disaster Book”! Longoland is the place where strange creatures inhabit. As artist Joshua Ben Longo states: “I give life to inanimate objects. I strive to get strong reactions through gesture and character. It is a process of two and three dimensionally sketching and a slow and intuitive exploration of material and form. More recently I have been exploring abstract narratives, rituals and their social context, and my early childhood perception of superheroes.” The artist has participated in numerous exhibitions and his original work has been showcased in various publications. He currently teaches three dimensional design at Pratt Institute.
