Karras Leather is a craftwork studio situated in Psiri – the area in Athens that used to be the industrial heart of leather goods. It’splaced just a few steps from Monastiraki Square in the centre of Athens. I discovered Karras studio one year ago during a hunt for leather gloves. When I noticed the studio window with the real vintage styled bags, exposed with their original shapes and unique colours, I simply couldn’t resist and entered. Nice atmosphere, a traditional approach and marvellous items –was my first impression.

The moment I set my eyes on Star Bag’s collection it was love at first sight. Sweet, girly, oh so beautiful and vintage! Lovely colors, patterns and these flowers are so luscious and original!

The designer notes: “All our bags are one-of-a-kind or made in a limited edition due to the vintage and/ or repurposed materials we use for them. With some creativity alot of things can be saved and given a second life, for a better and greener planet.”

Don’t forget to check out Star Bag’s blog as well. They have a fantastic collection of craft inspired posts!

I instantly fell in love with drika.b beautifully designed and colorful pouches and handbags. There is a quality and balance in the mixture of fabrics and textures that makes these accessories your next must have item!

As I read in drika.b’s profile: “She's inspired by unexpected color and texture combination and her primary goal is to keep making things that are practical and fun.”

Check out her etsy shop for more inspiring designs.

Handbags 4 Clever Girls

I bumped into these original handbags today and I was so surprised by the whole concept that I couldn’t stop staring! A perfect idea for the stylish booklover don’t you think?

In “A Spoonful of Chocolate Hope” Etsy shop you can browse through a nice variety of purses. As the creator mentions: “No pages are harmed during the purse making process.. I take gently used books and only use the covers, the pages are still fully in-tact and you are still able to read the book. I then take the sleeve and wrap it back on to the fully in-tact book and donate it to a Refugee Center here in Arizona called the IRC.”.

Re-use is the password nowadays!
